The City Clerk’s office serves as the Central Administration Office for the City of Spencer. The Clerk’s Office handles public information, maintenance of City records and proceedings, serves as secretary to the City Council and several Boards and Commissions. Additionally, the Clerk’s office prepares and maintains records for Northlawn and Riverside Cemeteries, processes all licenses and permits and provides administrative support to other City Departments. Theresa Reardon began her career in the City Clerk’s office in 1982. In 2010 she was appointed City Clerk. She and her husband, Mike, live in Spencer and are members of the Kiwanis After 5 Club. She enjoys the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
