The City of Spencer is excited to launch TextMy Gov, a new, smart text messaging service. This
service will enable residents to effortlessly receive important Notifications. Text messages will
include weather alerts, road closures, town events, city council meetings and other important
city related information.
Residents may receive a text message from 91896 from the City of Spencer initiating the
service. You can choose to opt-out at any time by texting STOP.
If you do not receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting the keyword
“SPENCERALERTS” to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to
reply “YES” to confirm opt in.
We’re excited about this new way of communication with residents and look forward to sharing
important City of Spencer notifications.
