The Food & Supply Distribution Center for Flood Impacted Households

Now Located at UDMO will operate at 223 W. 7th Street, Spencer

Upper Des Moines Opportunity has relocated to 223 W. Seventh St., in Spencer, along with the Emergency Resource Distribution Center which was formerly housed at Foundation Church. Assistance available will include:

  • Disaster case advocacy
  • Utility assistance
  • Baby items (cribs, car seats, etc)
  • Submersible pumps
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Assistance with Birth Certificate Copies, Medication Replacement and Transportation Barriers

UDMO Food pantry is open by appointment:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am – 4pm; and Thursdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Clothing Donations Being Accepted at This Time: 

  • Goodwill, Spencer: accepting donations as usual

St Joseph Catholic Church Milford is no longer accepting donations, as they have been inundated. Please do NOT take clothing donations to churches or other facilities unless they put out a notice that they are accepting specific items. This helps avoid an overwhelming amount of clothing to go through, and helps keep our focus on serving active needs efficiently.

Hours to Pick Up Clothing at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford

  • Mondays & Tuesdays, 9am-4pm
  • Thursdays, 9am-4pm
  • Friday, 9am-Noon

Entrance to the church, due to road construction: Approach on 15th St and take the alley to the parking lot and use North door.

Shuttling Services Available to St. Joseph Church in Milford Monday, Tuesday and Thursday:

  • Leave from the Clay County Events Center at 9 am (return at 11 am), or 1 pm (return at 3 pm)
