JULY 3, 2024

Starting today, the Recovery Resource Hub (https://spenceriowacity.com/recovery-resource-hub/) will serve as the City’s official information source for all news, information and resources related to the efforts to recover and rebuild from the recent flood. The Hub will be continuously updated to provide accurate information. Created as a “one-stop shop” for Spencer residents, the website contains a “what’s new” section providing the most up-to-date headlines as well as additional information on a variety of recovery topics including current river conditions, homeowner and business resources, and FAQs.

Thursday, July 4 is the Independence Day holiday. Please note the following related announcements:

The Spencer 4th of July Fireworks Committee has postponed the fireworks to a later date. The decision came after thoroughly reviewing the weather forecast and evaluating the best use of community resources at this specific time of recovery. The Committee’s hope is that a fireworks show in a few weeks will be a time for the community to rest, gather and celebrate the recovery that has been made so far.

City Hall will be closed on July 4. City Hall will resume regular hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) on Friday, July 5.
