Green Industrial Center

The Green Industrial Center has been designed to encourage low impact development; to reduce energy use and environment impact during the life cycle of the Park; to encourage the use of recyclable materials and the use of renewable energy resources; and to promote the development of an attractive, aesthetically appealing Park.   It is owned by the City of Spencer and within a New Market Tax Credit eligible census tract.
Green Industrial Center Aerial Photo 40,000 square foot speculative building
40,000 square foot speculative building on 9.2 acres. The building is 200' x 200' and will have 35' sidewalls, an open weave truss system, and one center column. Footings for two dock doors are included. The building is expandable up to 120,000 square feet and incorporates natural lighting, pervious paving, onsite storm water retention, and more to begin the development of the first LEED building in the Green Industrial Center. Building is owned by non-profit Spencer Industries Foundation (SIF) and available for sale. Construction is expected to be completed by 12/1/09.
